Renowned world cyclist Saurab Dahal is facing a profound loss as he mourns the passing of his beloved father, the venerable Min Prasad Dahal.
Born in the Bhojpur district of eastern Nepal, Saurab’s father bid farewell at the age of 86 on a serene Wednesday evening, January 10, 2023, in the comfort of his residence in Bhadrapur municipality-11, Jhapa district, Nepal.
Saurab, accompanied by his wife Anju Sapkota (Dahal), currently resides in the United States. In the face of this somber news, sources close to the family reveal that Mr. Min Prasad Dahal valiantly battled a longstanding stomach-related ailment.
The late Dahal, a patriarch of a remarkable family, leaves behind a legacy of eight children, among them the adventurous Saurab and his compassionate sister Anju Dahal (Ghimire), both presently in the United States.
Saurab, the seventh offspring of the resilient couple, Meen Prasad and Kritidevi Dahal, embarked on his cycling odyssey at 18, achieving an extraordinary feat of traversing through 80 countries on pedal power.
